Kodie Dutcher was last seen during the afternoon of July 6, 2020, before being reported missing in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Local law enforcement began searching, joined by emergency personnel, the Baraboo Fire Department, and K-9 teams from Wisconsin Dells.

Responders checked surrounding areas and followed information that might help locate the ten-year-old. The effort ended when authorities found her body near the area where she had been reported missing, turning hopes for a safe return into grief.

The account provided does not establish how Kodie died, and the discovery alone cannot answer that question. Any conclusions about the circumstances must rest on verified evidence, not speculation.

This was a July 2020 case, not a current missing-child emergency—a distinction that matters when the story is shared again. Remembering Kodie means acknowledging the young life lost, the people who searched for her, and the importance of treating her family’s tragedy with accuracy and care.
